As winter moved by slowly, I began to really crave the warmth of the springtime sun and the gentle awakening of nature.
Tulips are one of the early spring bloomers. I have some planted right outside of my studio window, so I eager wait for them to begin to grow. Along with this eagerness for spring, I really wanted to create a large painting, and these tulips seemed like a perfect subject.
