My son and I hiked from the time he was a toddler since we felt safest doing outdoor activities during the pandemic. He and I headed out one hot summer day recently for a long hike in one of my favorite spots. I took a photo of sunlight streaming through the trees and shining on one small plant. It was magical to me, and I decided to emphasize that magical feeling even more by exaggerating the colors and adding the butterflies.
