Unframed 7x5 inch oil painting on canvas, mounted on 3/4" cradled birch panel.
Painted as part of the Anthony Waichulis Alla Prima Challenge. "Alla prima" refers to a wet-on-wet approach. For this particular challenge, artists were tasked with painting a high chroma yellow object on a black background in 30 minutes. We were not allowed to pre mix paint colors, and could only paint in downward strokes. And to top it off, we could only apply 5 strokes of the brush before wiping it or reloading paint.
The sides of the panel have been painted black. It has been varnished to protect it from dust and UV light. The painting comes wired and ready to hang.
